Brookfield held it's annual ice harvest on Saturday, January 31. Many of the images taken detail the harvest as undertaken by 'Pickle' MacDonald of Williamstown and her aunt from Washington, DC. (Pickle is the daughter of Mark and Roberta MacDonald, and is wearing the three-tone blue and white hooded parka) Other photographs depict Al Wilder, the prime mover behind the modern-day harvest for decades, with a microphone describing the action for scores of onlookers at the sunny but very cold event. Al's liscence plate is the last shot of the take.
